How to Copy a Parking Remote or Access Card in Dubai

By the Car Key Programming Dubai technician team · Last updated 10 October 2026

If your building's parking gate runs on a remote or your tower uses access cards, you know the pain of sharing one between two drivers. Getting a copy made is quick and affordable, and we do it at your location.

Here is how the process works, what we need from you, and an honest note about building rules you should know before you book.

Ready for a spare? Our Access card & parking remote copying clones remotes and cards at your location in minutes.

What remotes and cards can we copy?

We clone most common fixed-code parking remotes, the kind with one to four buttons that open gates and barriers. These are the chunky remotes many Dubai communities issued for years, and they copy in minutes.

We also duplicate many RFID access cards and fobs used for building entrances, gyms, and pools. If your card just needs a tap against a reader, there is a good chance we can copy it.

Some newer systems use rolling codes or encrypted cards that cannot be cloned with standard equipment. Send us a photo of your remote or card on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether yours is copyable before you book.

How on-site cloning works

For a parking remote, we read the signal from your original using a cloning device, then write that same signal onto a new remote. We test the copy on your gate or barrier before we leave, so you know it works.

For access cards, we read the card's data and write it to a blank card or fob. The copy behaves exactly like the original at the reader.

The visit is short and happens wherever suits you: your home, your office, or the parking area itself. You keep your original the entire time. We never need to take it away.

What we need from you

We need the original remote or card in hand. Cloning copies an existing signal or data, so without the original there is nothing to copy from. If you have lost the only remote, talk to your building management instead.

A photo in advance helps a lot. Send it on WhatsApp with your location in Dubai, and we will confirm we can copy it and bring the right blanks.

For access cards tied to a specific unit, we may ask which building it is for, so we can make sure the copy is labeled correctly and you can tell them apart later.

There is no paperwork to fill in and no forms to sign. We verify what we need to, clone the remote or card, test it with you, and you pay once it works. The whole visit is built around your schedule.

Fixed-code vs rolling-code: how to tell

Fixed-code remotes send the same signal every time you press the button. They are the easiest to clone and the most common on older Dubai communities. If your remote is more than a few years old and has simple buttons, it is probably fixed-code.

Rolling-code remotes change their signal with every press, which defeats simple cloning. These became common on newer installations because they are harder to intercept and copy.

You do not need to figure this out yourself. Send us a photo of the remote on WhatsApp, including any model numbers on the back, and we will identify it and tell you whether we can clone it before you book.

How many copies should you get?

For most households, two remotes is the sweet spot: one per driver. A third as a household spare is worth it if your building charges a lot for official replacements or takes weeks to issue them.

Label each copy the day you get it. A small sticker with a name or a colored keyring saves the classic argument about whose remote is whose, and it helps if one ever goes missing.

Keep at least one remote somewhere secure but reachable. A copy locked in a safe nobody opens does not help when a driver is standing at the gate at midnight.

An honest note about building rules

Here is something other providers will not tell you: some buildings in Dubai restrict who can issue parking remotes and access cards. Management may require copies to come through them, or limit the number of active remotes per unit.

We follow building rules. If your community requires management authorization, get their approval first and we will happily do the cloning. We do not bypass building security systems or make copies against a building's policy.

When in doubt, ask your building management or security desk. A two-minute question up front avoids an awkward situation later, and most buildings are perfectly fine with owner-arranged copies.

What we cannot copy

We cannot clone a remote or card you do not have. If the original is lost, only your building management or the system installer can issue a replacement.

Some high-security encrypted cards and rolling-code remotes resist standard cloning. If yours falls in this category, we will tell you straight and point you toward the building's official channel.

And we will not copy access devices for a building you do not live or work in. Like our car key work, this service is for legitimate owners and tenants, verified where needed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you copy my building's parking remote?

In most cases yes, if it is a standard fixed-code remote and you have the original. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm before booking.

Do I need permission from my building management?

Some buildings require it, so check with your management or security desk first. We follow building rules and will not make copies against a building's policy.

How long does copying a remote take?

The cloning itself takes only minutes. We confirm a time window on WhatsApp when you book, and we test the copy on your gate before leaving.

I lost my only parking remote. Can you still help?

No, cloning needs the original to copy from. Contact your building management for a replacement remote, then we can make you a spare from that one.

Can you copy access cards for offices too?

Many standard RFID access cards can be duplicated, for legitimate holders. Send a photo of the card and tell us which building it is for, and we will advise.
